THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND THE VISION

The technology behind EMS EFX™ combines advanced digital production techniques with emerging technologies to transform photographs, video, audio, artwork, and personal memories into cinematic digital experiences.

EMS EFX™ is a specialized digital media studio established in 2022. We combine years of practical creative work with high-end digital tools that are shaping production today. We take photos, video, audio, and old artwork and weave them together into something that feels cinematic and very much alive. The goal is to take personal memories and give them a new sense of scale.

We call this process The EMS EFX Evolution™. It brings together advanced digital production, computer-generated imagery, animation, visual effects, compositing, image restoration, and professional audio and video production.

Core Digital Production Technologies

3D Modeling

Creation of three-dimensional digital objects, characters, environments, and visual elements for digital production.

Computer-Generated Imagery

Creation and manipulation of digital visual elements, environments, objects, characters, and imagery.

Motion Graphics

Animated graphic elements used to communicate information, create movement, establish atmosphere, and enhance cinematic production.

Digital Compositing

Integration of multiple visual layers, images, effects, and digital elements into a seamless finished composition.

Visual Effects

Creation, enhancement, and manipulation of visual elements that cannot easily be captured through traditional live-action production.

Advanced Image Restoration

Restoration and reconstruction of damaged, degraded, missing, or incomplete visual information.

Advanced Production Technologies

Depending on the project, EMS EFX can incorporate Photogrammetry A process of extracting dimensional and spatial information from photographs to support 3D reconstruction, modeling, and visual production. , Digital Matte Painting Creation or extension of digital environments, backgrounds, scenery, and locations for integration into cinematic compositions. , Particle Effects Computer-generated simulations used to create smoke, dust, sparks, atmospheric effects, debris, and other dynamic visual phenomena. , and advanced Lighting & Rendering Calculation of digital lighting, materials, shadows, reflections, and visual properties to produce final rendered imagery. .

We also rely heavily on professional audio engineering and video production to ensure that what you see and what you hear feel like one cohesive experience rather than separate components assembled together.

Digital Humans, Facial Mapping & Motion

Much of our approach comes directly from the film industry. When a project calls for it, we can tap into a deep toolbox that includes Facial Mapping Mapping facial features and surface characteristics so facial structure can be analyzed, reconstructed, tracked, or animated digitally. , Digital Doubles Digitally constructed representations of a person used to reproduce or extend a subject within a controlled visual environment. , Match Moving, Keying / Chroma Key, and Neural Rendering A computational rendering approach that uses learned visual relationships to generate, reconstruct, enhance, or synthesize complex imagery. .

These technologies provide the foundation for creating believable digital performances and imagery while maintaining the identity and presence of the person represented.

Motion Processing & Digital Reconstruction

Computer-Generated Imagery changed what artists could do. It made it possible to build environments and characters that could not be captured with a traditional camera.

Technologies such as Motion Tracking, Motion Vector Processing, Digital Reconstruction, and Advanced Compositing have pushed those boundaries even further. We continue to incorporate new production technologies as they become available.

AI-Enabled Production

EMS EFX incorporates artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies where they can improve production workflows, restoration, image processing, visual reconstruction, audio processing, and other aspects of digital content creation.

AI is used as a production technology within the broader EMS EFX workflow rather than as a replacement for the creative process. Human creative direction, production design, digital artistry, compositing, editing, and final production remain central to the finished work.

Voice, Facial & Motion Synchronization

When a project requires it, technologies including Voice Synthesis Digital generation or reconstruction of human speech from voice characteristics, vocal patterns, and controlled audio parameters. , Facial Topology Mapping Mapping of the three-dimensional structure and geometry of a face to support accurate digital facial movement, expression, reconstruction, and animation. , Motion Synchronization Precise alignment of movement, facial performance, visual animation, and other timed elements so they operate together naturally. , Motion Vector Processing, and Advanced Image Reconstruction Reconstruction, restoration, and rebuilding of visual information when portions of the original source are damaged, missing, degraded, or incomplete. can be used to transform static source material into dynamic digital experiences.

Digital Sales Ambassadors & Digital Avatars

EMS EFX is also developing applications for Digital Sales Ambassadors and Digital Avatars, combining digital-human technologies, facial mapping, motion synchronization, voice technologies, animation, CGI, and AI-assisted production workflows.

These technologies are intended to support interactive brand experiences, product presentation, customer engagement, cinematic advertising, educational media, and other digital-content applications.

Cinematic Advertising & Brand Content

The same production technologies can be applied beyond memorial content. EMS EFX is developing capabilities for cinematic advertising, branded content, digital presentations, product storytelling, and immersive visual experiences.

By combining CGI, 3D modeling, animation, visual effects, compositing, digital humans, AI-assisted workflows, professional audio, and cinematic mastering, EMS EFX can create digital experiences designed to communicate a product, service, person, or story through a unified visual and audio production.

Technology With a Human Purpose

The technology is not used simply to demonstrate what the tools can do. When working with a photograph, the person in that photograph remains the center of the production.

Every technical decision is intended to preserve identity, presence, emotion, and authenticity while using modern digital production techniques to expand what can be created from the original material.

Sometimes that means a simple restoration of a damaged print. Other times, it involves creating movement, adding a voice, or building an entire cinematic scene around an original image.

The EMS EFX Evolution™ brings these technologies together into a unified production workflow. Lighting, music, facial movement, digital compositing, sound, rendering, and cinematic mastering all have to work together. Once the visual and audio elements are complete, cinematic mastering brings the finished production together for final presentation.
